Common Questions About Dental Insurance

Understanding dental insurance can be challenging. That’s why we’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions below. If you have a question that isn’t listed or need more information, please feel free to contact our office.

Do I have to go to a dentist who is covered by my insurance?

No, while your insurance provider may offer a list of in-network dentists, you always have the right to choose the care that best suits your needs. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact our office.

How does out-of-network care work?

Out-of-network care means the dental provider is not contracted with your insurance company. However, this doesn’t mean insurance isn’t accepted. Instead, your insurance will cover a predetermined portion of your treatment costs. The amount covered is determined by your insurance provider, but it often allows for affordable care even with an out-of-network dentist.

As an out-of-network provider, we are here to help you navigate the reimbursement process. We will submit claims on your behalf and are available to answer any questions you may have.

Do I need dental insurance to be treated?

No, dental insurance is not required to receive treatment. Many patients opt to pay for their care directly without using insurance.
