Extracciones de dientes
Patients may need tooth extractions for any number of reasons. Se extraen algunos dientes porque son seriamente decaídas, others may have advanced periodontal disease, or they may have broken in a way that cannot be repaired. Otros dientes pueden necesitar retiro porque mal se colocan en la boca (tales como dientes impactados) o en preparación para el tratamiento ortodóntico.
The removal of a single tooth can lead to problems related to chewing ability, problems with the jaw joint, y los dientes, which can have a major impact on dental health.
Para evitar estas complicaciones, Dr. Swiderski will typically discuss replacing the extracted tooth with a implante dental.

The Tooth Extraction Process
At the time of extraction, Dr. Swiderski will need to numb the tooth, jaw bone, and gums surrounding the area with a local anesthetic. Además, patients may opt for nitrous oxide or sedación intravenosa.
During the extraction process, you will feel a lot of pressure. This is from the process of firmly rocking the tooth to widen the socket for removal.
You feel the pressure without pain, as the anesthetic has numbed the nerves, stopping the transference of pain. Yet the nerves that transmit pressure are not profoundly affected.
Si usted siente dolor en cualquier momento durante la extracción por favor háganoslo saber de inmediato.
Sectioning a Tooth
Algunos dientes requieren de seccionamiento. This is a very common procedure done when a tooth is so firmly anchored in its socket, or the root is curved, and the socket can’t expand enough to remove it. Dr. Swiderski cuts the tooth into sections and then removes each section one at a time.
