Keizer Heritage Community Center The Restored 1916 Old School
The Keizer Heritage Museum, located in the restored 1916 Keizer School, opened Feb. 8, 2000. It's mission is to preserve and display the culture and history of Keizer and surrounding mid-Willamette Valley area. The displays cover a wide range of history from the days of the wagon trains through the beginning of the City of Keizer in 1982 and to the present. Many of the items relate to "The Old School" and its many teachers and students. Local families have contributed their history in the area. The Museum is run by volunteers with a love for the Keizer Community. It includes a small gift area with some books and souvenirs.
Keizer Heritage Foundation, who owns the building, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed for the restoration and continued operation of the building. They gladly accept donations.
